Jane Robinson is joining us as a Guest Designer

Welcome Jane Robinson

My name is Jane, and I am a married mum of four girls. Although three of my babies are the four-legged feline variety. My daughter is all grown up now and has left home. I think she had only been gone a week when I started to convert her bedroom into a craft room. Now, I have my own little sanctuary where I can hide and make something beautiful.

I have crafted all my life practically. My mum taught me to sew and crochet from an early age, although, try as she might, I never quite grasped knitting, much to her annoyance. I am now 46 years old, and it’s only in the last couple of years that I’ve discovered paper crafting. I love experimenting with different techniques when card making, scrap booking and journaling.

My dream is to open my own shop where I can sell branded card making supplies, make pretty things to sell, and perhaps run a couple of workshops for make and takes. Whilst providing other makes to my favourite charity… the RSPCA.

I am overjoyed to be a guest on the Design Team for Lisa Horton. When I first glimpsed her on TV with her products, I just knew straight away that they were for me. I love her design styles, and everything I own with the Lisa Horton Crafts logo on has been used to create something totally unique. Not to mention I fell in love with her quirky personality.

If you need to contact me, I can be found in these places:

Keep on crafting!

MEET THE TEAM - NICKY ROUSSOU

NICKY ROUSSOU

Hello, I’m Nicky Roussou. I am so proud to be invited to join Lisa Horton’s Design Team!

I live in a little village in Buckinghamshire with my partner and 4 children, 2 of which are twins!

Together we run our own businesses and I also have a small business teaching Pilates.

I guess I have always been quite a creative person, right back to as young as I can remember. As a child I was always drawing, painting, designing and making things, it always gave me great pleasure.

Then in 2011 when my daughter was about 6 months old, we attended a local group that offered a scrapbooking class with childcare provided in the same room… It was amazing, I could watch her play, take and print photos of her and make a page in a scrap book there and then and it sparked a massive interest in me! Within weeks I had a draw full of paper and stamps 

Then one of my Pilates clients suggested a local craft shop in town not too far from me and that was the beginning of a journey into the crafting world! I have since grown a beautiful craft room full of goodies over the last 8 and a half years and overtime my style has grown and my projects just keep getting better and more fun. I can’t tell you how many ideas I have!

This is my first time being a designer and I’m super excited to see what wonderful makes I can create!

Much Love … Nicky xx

All about me - Claire Newcombe

- Meet the Team -
Claire Newcombe

Hi my name is Claire Newcombe, otherwise known in the crafty world as Creative Makings. I am a stay at home Mum to 2 boys teenage boys, and make the most of my spare time by crafting and going to the gym.
I have crafted in various guises since I was a girl, and began by teaching myself cross stitch. I found my love of paper crafts, when my eldest son was born and I made my announcement postcards letting everyone know he’d arrived.
Over the years my style has changed and developed into what I would describe now as clean and modern. I try to put a modern twist into all the products I use, whether its vintage papers or classic stamped images. My preference is to make cards, but I view them as small canvases, designing each one individually as a stand alone piece of artwork that can be gifted. I am largely influenced by the natural world, and when given free reign tend to use lots of blues and greens against a natural palette, making me one of a few people (I think) who enjoys making cards and projects for guys. Having said that I do also get very excited by patterned paper, always happy to add new gems to my collection. Give me some paper, a stamp and some inks and I’m a happy girl.
I have been very fortunate to have been on a number of design teams in the past and contribute regularly to leading craft magazines, and even had a stint presenting on one of the TV craft channels. I spend many hours crafting on my own, so when the opportunity arises I run workshops in my local area and love to guide people through a project and see their pride at creating something they believed they couldn’t.

All About Ewelina Gryglak

- Meet the Team -
Ewelina Gryglak
My name is Ewelina Gryglak - ewelinkag is my online/crafting name. I am Polish but I have moved here and lived in Yorkshire, England for over 15 years now. When I have to be an adult (which is most of the time, unfortunately), I work as an Education Department manager in Offender Learning.

I’ve been doing mixed-media crafts for almost 5 years now - I started when my life got turned upside down by some serious health problems in my family. It was a way of escaping and dealing with the bad news but at the same time finding a creative way of expressing myself. I love working with mixed media; I make cards, tags and ATCs; I am no stranger to 12x12 scrap layouts either; I love expanding my horizons and embarking on new creative journeys.

My challenge for the new year is to make more mini-albums and off the page projects. I love layers and textures so that is what you can see in my work. My craft-room is full of texture pastes, stencils, paints, inks, embellishments of various type - paper, fabric, chipboard.

I would define my style as ‘eclectic’ as you can find a little bit of everything in my work - paints, stencils, modelling paste, stamps, paper flowers, chipboard of any kind. I find that my main strength is being quite flexible and being able to adapt my style to fit a variety of themes/styles. I am hoping that more and more crafters (not only British) will
embark on mixed-media adventures with me - It’s loads of fun really.

Erin Fairclough

Hi I'm Erin and I live in the beautiful country of Northumberland ... I'm 38 and have been married to my wonderful Husband Neil for nearly 19 years we have 2 wonderful children Luke 17 and Ellie 15, We have a family run business which takes a lot of time up and one of the main reasons I started crafting, to give me something to wind down on an evening.

I made / tried to make a card for my cousins sympathy card, as I thought all the cards in the shop were far to old fashioned for the card that I personally needed (the card was a pile of rubbish and not fit for any purpose but the bin) and I had to tot to the shop to buy one of those said cards, But that opened the hobby floodgates I've dabbled in so many styles of card making but My main passion in card making, with Digi's and Stamps, as I love to bring the image to life with my pens.  Now I've been extremely lucky to have worked with some amazing Artists and been on some incredibly design teams and my cards and creations have frequently been on TV, so I'm extremely pleased to be working with Lisa once again and be on another fantastic Design Team

All about me Tina Foster

- Meet the Team -
Tina Foster

Hi, my name is Tina, and I live in Bickley with my husband Paul, son Harry and our much loved cat Millie! I work two jobs - and have done so for the past 16 years. I work within a Primary school amongst children aged between 5 and 7, then I put on my other hat and work in a well loved high street store dealing with the general public. Part of my job there involves making up bouquets of flowers for customers who would like an alternative selection to our standard range - which I enjoy very much.

I've always loved to make things. I think it started when I learnt to crochet aged around 8 when I made a little teddy bear! I went on to knitting too which was patiently taught by my mum.

I first started paper crafting around 18 years ago, when my son was young and I stumbled across the shopping channels selling all the crafty goodies - I purchased a card making kit and  I was hooked! Over the years my crafty stash grew and grew, but thankfully I have my own craft room to play in now!

Die cutting is predominantly my thing, and I have a love of patterned papers. If possible, I like to have one to use and another to drool over! I enjoy using stencils and working with inks, really loving the variety of patterns and tones you can achieve. I like stamping, using embossing folders and love to create 3d projects.

I can't tell you how excited and privileged I feel to be part of Lisa's design team from the start of her 2020 journey. I've always loved her style of products and her passion for crafting. I'm looking forward to all the excitement this year will bring - the inspiration from both my teamies and all the other lovely crafters as we all enjoy the fabulous new range from Lisa.

All about Me - Tamara Morton

- Meet the Team -
Tamara Morton - Demonstrator for Lisa Horton on Create & Craft TV
Design Team Coordinator
I have been crafting one way or another my whole life (loved
Blue Peter) I would say I started my obsession back in 2005 after receiving a handmade card from a relative. When I look back at that very first card I made (it was truly dreadful) but I thought it was the bees knees. Since then, I have now branched into a variety of crafts from Mixed Media, Painting, Altered Art.

I started a blog in 2011 which gave me the opportunity to design for Cheery Lynn Dies, Sweet Stamps, The Craft Den and recently Tonic Studios I've had my cards and projects showcased at CHA along with my mini Albums and mixed media pieces.
A few years ago my favourite technique would have been stamping, my copics and card making. Although it’s still something I enjoy doing, I do love to get painty, alter something and adorn it with gorgeousness! I love making memory books from scratch, I adore the process of creating a book from the ground up
and adding those finishing touches!
I decided to start up a You Tube Channel where I make online tutorials in making Memory books where I go though each step in detail and from doing these videos I've been able
to share my crafting skills doing workshops for crafters of every skill level.

In 2019 a well know craft company approached me to demonstrate their products on Create and Craft TV (something I would never have done in a million years) but I found that I really loved it and how sharing my love for our hobby sparkle a light.  Over the following months, as I live close to Create and Craft, I would meet Lisa every time she was on air, (a new restaurant for each visit) and have become life long friends.

I've been lucky enough to have started this journey with Lisa from a seed of an idea, to now being able to demonstrate and represent her products from her fantastic new brand
LISA HORTON CRAFTS.

All About Rachel Harries

- MEET THE TEAM -
Rachel Harries

I live in sunny Barrybados made famous by “Gavin and Stacey”.
I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t creating something, some of my earliest memories are of creating with my Grandparents, my Grandfather taught me to knit at a very early age and there wasn’t a lolly stick or empty toilet roll that wasn’t used in some sort of construction. I don’t think there was ever a moment when something wasn’t being made, this carried on with my parents too so I really was fortunate to have a head start in that regard.

As well as enjoying all kinds of creative practise in my own time, I incorporated creative media with some of my client’s as a Counsellor and found it the most perfect way to allow people to bypass all the defensive mechanisms that can get in the way of healing.
Poor health forced me to give up my therapeutic practise and to keep myself relatively sane I focused more on arts and crafts.

I was very fortunate to have been involved with Scrappers Unlimited where I taught a couple of lessons for my late and wonderful friend Chrissie Gwyther, I also put together lessons for a small group locally, this has moved on to having a lesson last year included in Effy Wilds amazing Book of Days, a year long online art journalling course.  I’ve been fortunate enough to feature on Hochanda’s blog as on of their ambassadors, I’ve done some design team work for Hobbybase and I’m currently making samples for Polkadoodles I do some artwork and illustrations for other projects and have a couple of exciting projects on the go in that respect and now of course Lisa Horton Crafts.
I love to share techniques and ideas and I’m always happy to answer any questions or help in anyway I can. I really enjoy helping people get results from their crafting that make them smile, it’s one of the greatest joys there is, I’m looking forward to hosting small workshops from my home studio in the not to distant future.

Hi! My name is Fairuz Fabiha and I’m 20 years old, a student of Architecture. I live in Dhaka, Bangladesh with my ever supportive parents and an elder brother.

I love scrapbooking, card making and doing mixed media art. Though mixed media art and card making are my favourites.
I like trying out different products but my style is mostly turning ‘trashes into treasures’.

All about ELISABETH HOGARTH

- MEET THE TEAM -

ELISABETH HOGARTH

I inherited my love of creating from my Mama, who was an incredible craftswoman. She had a fantastic array of wooden stamps, papers, inks, materials, threads and buttons. As a child I loved to colour, cut and stick paper – in fact I still do!

In addition to bringing up my three children on my own in Chichester, West Sussex : I shared my love of crafting with hundreds of children because I worked as a primary school Teaching Assistant for twenty years.  However, in February 2019 I decided to take the plunge and turn my lifelong hobby into a full-time passion.

I am a card-maker at heart.  During the last ten years, my style has developed and now I would say that it is clean and simple with pops of detail. Luckily, I have been invited onto a few design teams (including Craftwork Cards, Craft Consortium Ltd, The Hobby House, Splash Crafts and Strawberry Moon) which means I am able to share my love of crafting with a wide range of people.  I enjoy running a couple of Facebook groups and have “met” so many wonderful like-minded people.  Crafting is a great leveller.

To be a part of Lisa Horton Crafts new design team is a real thrill.  I am thoroughly enjoying the experience and all the new crafting goodies to play with!  I am looking forward to developing my own skill set and hopefully inspiring others to give something new a try.

All about Natasja Boseker

Natasja Boseker AKA bobomadeby
Hello, I'm Natasja Boseker and my artist name is bobomadeby.
I'm 44 years young, married to a sweet man and we have two kids a boy and a girl. I live near Rotterdam in a small town called Westmaas in the Netherlands.
My knutselgeschiedenis goes back until I was very small, but I was always interested in working with my hands. I was a welder for a while until I had a  car accident and couldn't work anymore.
Now I'm forging my own jewellery with a group of friends and every week we get together.
In addition, I love crafting with paper and all the things I feel like to craft with it. Last year was a super year, I was Guest Designer at Stampotique for a few months, and then I was asked to become designer for a Dutch designer Julia house for veeeeeery crafts.
I was selected to be in this amazing team with Lisa Horton Crafts. I was and I'm so very happy. I hope you enjoy my projects, which I make with lots of love to show you the use of Lisa's amazing products. And if you want to know more or want to know more of me, just ask and I will try to answer the question. I can be found online as a bobomadeby

Love Natasja

Natasja Boseker AKA bobomadeby

Liefs Natasja

All About Heidi Hobson

Heidi Hobson

Hi my name is Heidi Hobson. Myself my  Husband, Mum, Son and Cats moved to beautiful Brixham in Devon 4 years ago where my love of nautical crafting began.
I started crafting 30 years ago at 18 with glass painting then moved onto cards and scrapbooking doing regular craft fairs. I have really got into the mixed media over the last 6years. I hunt down anything in charity shops to recycle and make pretty, grungy and now mostly nautical.

I've also upcycled furniture and sold my pieces in gift shops and  most of my cards I send to Animal and Cancer charities to sell as I love my fur babies and will always help the Macmillan.

My newest venture with Lisa Horton is my most exciting yet. My first design team which I am honoured to be part of and hopefully make Lisa proud xxx

All About Sue Hobbs

- MEET THE TEAM -

SUE HOBBS

I always loved knitting and sewing and after having my two daughters I got a part time job working for a haberdashers in the 90's. I then took up cross stitch as that was very in vogue and paper-craft was just making an appearance so my employer took it on board and I became totally hooked. Peel-offs and wooden stamps were the big thing then!!

I made samples for the shop and did demonstrations there and also at craft fairs and eventually workshops as well as buying for the company ( I was lucky enough to go to CHA in Los Angeles which was amazing).

I was also lucky enough to go on a Dreamweaver stencil course which got me into stencilling where I am currently on Sweet Poppy design team.

I semi-retired a couple of years ago but still do three sometimes four workshops a month which I love. My seven and six year old granddaughters love to craft and to them I am the best crafter in the world, LOL. It's all they want to do when they come to stay with me.

All About Miriam Grazier

- MEET THE TEAM -
MIRIAM GRAZIER - Design Team Coordinator

By day I am a Senior HR Professional.  I 'found' crafting 12 years ago and have not looked back since.  It is the hobby that I need to help me relax and unwind from the day job.

I love anything mixed media related and like to throw different mediums together to see what happens.  My day job has to be very precise and rule driven but mixed media unleashes the freedom to create without thinking.

I've been fortunate to have a new craft room designed and built for me so I have a haven to relax and create in.

I am honoured to be on the design teams for Lisa Horton Crafts and Country View Crafts and am a regular blogger for PaperArtsy.  I have featured in the Craft Stamper, PaperCrafter and the SSP Guild (which is sadly not in publication any more).
