PROJECT WEDNESDAY - FLOATING SCROLL CARD

Good morning one and all.

I hope you are all having a great week.

I hope you enjoyed my live if you were able to join me but if you missed it, the edited version is up on our You Tube channel if you would like to watch.

Just click on the pic.

You will be pleased to know that my husband is still alive and fighting fit after disrupting my live video on Monday. 😄😄
Honestly, what is it with men?  He did apologise but justified his actions by saying that at least everyone would know I was definitely live! 🤷🤷

I hope you managed to catch Claire's live yesterday at 11am?  If not, click the pic to go to You Tube and watch.

And likewise, if you missed Natasja using the fabulous Peggy Pig and Sheldon Sheep die sets, click on the pic to watch on You Tube.

So it being Wednesday we have a fabulous project lined up for you.

This week's project is by our lovely Su Peachey

Products you will need for this project:

Parchment Scroll Embossing Folder & Die

Blooms & Berries Layering Stencils

Blooms & Berries Embossing Folder & Die

Scalloped and Plain nested circles Die Set

Textures A6 Stamp Set

Foiled & Plain Sentiment Stickers.

Take the largest scalloped circle die and the next but one die in (so third one in from the outside edge) and tape together.

Run through your die cutting machine three times and then glue together the narrow circles that you make.

Take a piece of card measuring 6 x 6 inches and score and 3 inches.

Place the inner die of the two you used previously on the folded edge of your card and run through your die cutting machine so that you end up with this.

Glue the scalloped die cuts on to the base card.

Cut and emboss the scroll and then brush ink over the embossed scroll to give an aged look.

Then using the script stamp from the Textures Stamp set stamp on to the scroll and add a few of the splat stamps for effect.

Cut a strip of cardstock measuring 1 x 3 inches and score at 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5 inches.  Fold and adhere to the inside front and back of the card base in the middle of the bottom edge.  This will stop the card from splaying open.

Glue the parchment scroll to the base card at an angle leaving some of the circle showing.

Stencil the blooms and berries with colours of your choice, cut and emboss.

Add sticky pads to the back of your stencilled flowers and adhere this to the scroll in a vertical position.

Use one of the Foiled and plain sentiment stickers and adhere to the top scroll.

And this will be your finished card.

What a beautiful project that is, don't you agree?

Remember to share your makes into the Crafting with Lisa Horton group if you decide to give it a go.  We would love to see your take on it.

Right, I'm off to finalise my project for tomorrow's live so I'll see you here on Friday.

MONDAY MUSINGS

 Morning all

Hope you all had a lovely weekend?

Did you manage to catch Lisa's live on Friday night?  Soooo much information in there wasn't there?  Just in case you missed it, click on the link below to catch up.

Congratulations to Emma Woods on winning this week's giveaway too, lucky lady.

Of course the other fabulous thing that Lisa mentioned was the eagerly awaited stencils for the DL embossing folders:
Poppy Cluster
Tulips
Wild Peony
Fairy Pedestals
Daffodil
Sunflower Spray
I just hope she has ordered enough because I know just how many of you have been asking for these. Fingers crossed eh?

Also, if you did watch Lisa on Friday you will remember that she mentioned the lovely Sarah Millsop and her fabulous new venture "My Craft Shop"

This is just a snippet of the introduction to what should be a fabulous venture:

We had a vision to help crafters sell their makes, provide education, guidance, support and create a community. Not long to go now! Thank you for all your support over the coming weeks. The response we have had from the industry so far has been totally overwhelming and heart warming, and we can't wait to share all the exciting things we have lined up 😍

So do please go and like and follow Sarah's page (link above) if you would like to.

So, what's on this week then?

Well we have the usual Design Team lives for you in the Crafting with Lisa Horton Facebook Group:

Me (Dawn) on Monday at 1pm - we are stencilling and it's Christmas!! (Soz, lol)

Tuesday at 11am we have Claire Newcombe

Tuesday at 7pm we have our colour queen Natasja Boseker (aka bobomadeby)

Wednesday is Project Day on the blog - this week provided by the lovely Su Peachey.

Thursday Me(Dawn) at 10am and once again we are using the Twisted Stripes layering stencils.

Friday at 7pm our lovely Lisa is doing an inky demo.  She will be going through colours and colour combinations with you.  So you can either join in (if you managed to get the inks) or just watch and take notes ready for when you do get the inks, lol. (I'll post links later in the week).

So, that's what you have to look forward to this week in the Crafting with Lisa Horton group.

It's a really busy group and the wall moves really quickly so it may be worth setting yourself up with an album to put your makes in, then if you need to find a project quickly you can.

You will also notice that there are albums for each show where you can find all the DT makes and we added the albums for the very same reason - ease of location of projects.  So if Mr Mojo packs his bag and goes off on his holidays at least you have somewhere to go for inspiration.  Of course there is always our Pinterest boards too.

Lastly, there is still time to vote for your favourite brands in this year's Craft's Beautiful Awards.

Our lovely Lisa has been shortlisted in several categories and I know that she would be over the moon to win in any single one of them.  The support of her followers (that's you) means the absolute world to her and to Danny too.  They both work so hard to try and bring fabulous goodies to everyone and she is still genuinely surprised when you love it all as much as you do.

Remember you can vote up to five times on any one email address. 😉😉

Thank you in advance if you do decide to vote for Lisa/Lisa Horton Crafts.

Okie dokie, I think that's all for now.

Back on Wednesday with the gorgeous Project from our Su.

FABULOUS FRIDAY

Good morning all.

Firstly, I just want to say a Huge congratulations to the lovely Lily on her GCSE results.  What a fabulous achievement.  The future looks bright Lily and I wish you every success in your chosen course at College.

Well, what a fabulous couple of days Lisa has had on TV!

I knew from looking at the Design Team samples that everything would sell really quickly but I don't think I have seen quite so much sell quite so quickly - Ever!!

And to then go on and do a four hour takeover on Craft Extra and have more stunning sales - WOW!  I'm so glad so many of you managed to make some fabulous purchases at such awesome prices.

On behalf of Lisa and Danny, thank you so much for all your purchases.  I know that Lisa appreciates each and every purchase.  Your support means the world to them both and it also means that she can go on designing and bringing even more fabulous goodies to all you lovely people.

The one thing I can say for certain is that you are all going to LOVE your purchases when they start to arrive.

Just remember, for those of you that ordered the ink pads, they are really juicy so please don't forget to dab off some of the ink on your brush before you start adding it to your card.  In fact, I would suggest that you grab some cardstock and just have a play with the ink and your brushes before you use them on a project.  That way you will have an idea of how much ink to use on a project rather than getting frustrated by adding too much.  Just a suggestion obviously.  Also, don't forget that there is a chart in the Files section of the Crafting with Lisa Horton Group on Facebook which shows which inks work for which technique and some FAQ's to go alongside it.  I really hope that helps you when you do come to use them.  Personally, I ADORE them and they will be my go to inks going forward

If you missed my live yesterday, here is the link for the edited version on our You Tube channel.  I used the layering twisted stripes stencils and made a beautiful background to add to my card. I also used the background I made during the live.  I cut a few triangles out and used them as a backdrop to the Blooming Marvellous Stencils and Embossing Folder.

Sometimes, we look at things and think we will never use them, or indeed wonder just how we are going to use them.  I hope the video will give you some ideas for using them in a variety of different ways.

So, it being Friday, you all know what that means right?

Lisa will be live tonight at 7pm as usual both on her business page and over on You Tube too.

I'm sure there will be lots of fun and laughter and don't forget that there is always a giveaway for liking and sharing the video.  You've gotta be in it to win it right? Lol.

Okay, So I will leave it there.
Enjoy Lisa's live later and have a fabulous weekend and I will be back on Monday with the usual week ahead schedule.

PROJECT WEDNESDAY

Good morning all.

Well today is the day that Lisa launches her fabulous Layering Stencils and Embossing Folder/Die sets on TV.  Not only that but she will also be launching her fantastic Cloud 9 Ink Pads.

Well, I say today is the day she is launching them but to be honest I'm not sure she will have very long to do any demos with them because you've all been shopping already haven't you? Lol.

I can't say I blame you though to be honest because everything is just stunning.  You only have to look at the Design Team samples to see how much everybody has enjoyed using these new products, they are just so beautiful.

So if you want to watch Lisa on Create and Craft just click on the logo and then choose either watch live from the Home Page or TV schedule and click on Watch Live

So, as you know Wednesday is Project Day here on the blog.
This week we have another stunning project for you and this time it has been created by the lovely Su Peachey using the Gorgeous new scroll die and embossing folder together with the Daisy Corner Layering Stencils and Embossing Folder/Die

Daisy Corner Layering Stencil
Daisy Corner Embossing Folder & Die
It's The Little Things, Scripted Sentiments
Just saying Ticker phrases stamps
Dew Drops
5 x 7 inch card blank
Piece of card 4 3/4 x 6 3/4

Stencil your daisy corner using speckled Egg, Tumbled Glass and Broken China
Stencil leaves using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn
Stencil stems using Vintage photo
Stencil Daisy centres using squeezed lemonade and vintage photo

Then die cut and emboss

Die Cut your scroll, stamp your chosen sentiment and then emboss the scroll. Next, ink the edges with Speckled Egg and Broken China

Ink the edges of the 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 piece of card with Speckled Egg and Broken China and then adhere it directly to the base card.
Raise the scroll on sticky pads and adhere in place.

Apply sticky pads to the part of the daisy that will overhang the scroll and apply wet glue to the rest and adhere to your card, bottom right.

Using the ticker phrases stamps, stamp your sentiment and fussy cut out.  Adhere this to the top scroll and finally finish off with a few Dew Drops.

You can of course, use whatever ink colours you like, the blues are just one option.
If you decide to have a go at this, then please remember to share in the Facebook group as we all love to see your interpretations of projects the Design Team have created.

Right, I'm off to finish a few things so that I can settle down and watch Lisa without interruption later.
Will you be watching too?
