PROJECT WEDNESDAY

Good Wednesday afternoon to you.

I trust that you are all staying safe and hydrated in this hot weather?

So, as I promised you yesterday Wednesday's mean a project post.

Each week on a Wednesday, one of our fabulous Design Team members will create a step by step project for you.

It may be a full project, it may be a tip on how to achieve a simple effect or just how to use certain products in the easiest way.  Either way it will be a lovely mix of ideas and projects for you to try.

By all means, if there is something that you have always wanted to have a go at and would like someone to do a project based around that idea, then do let us know by leaving a comment on any of the blog posts.  They are checked every day so it won't get missed.

You won't find these projects anywhere else, they are purely and simply for those of you who follow and read the blog.

********

So the first project Wednesday has been provided by the lovely Natalia Smith.

Celebrate the season card.

3D embossed bow and inky background.

·         Distress oxide inks

·         3D embossing folder bow

·         Sand block

·         Euphoria watercolours

·         Box kit magazine 4 stamps

·         LHC silver steel embossing powder

Cut white card the same size as embossing folder, blend inks with Salvaged patina halfway and the other half of card with Broken china.

I have added splatter to the card with silver colour paint with little brush. Let it to dry and emboss.

Using the sand block , sand down lightly the embossed bow. Wipe away with micro cloth.

Add more splatter with silver paint to the bow.

Cut the embossed bow into rectangle measuring 11.5 cm by 16 cm. Matt and layer with slightly bigger white card to have little border.

Create the base card measuring 14 cm by 19 cm. Blend the inks around the edges by using Broken chine at the top and Salvaged patina at the bottom.

Stamp the sentiment with Versa Mark ink at the bottom on right side of embossed bow and heat emboss with silver embossing powder. Adhere the embossed bow image to the front of the card with 3D foam pads.

What a gorgeous project.

Obviously you can choose whatever colours you like or you can use the same colours that Natalia has used.  The choice is yours.

Don't forget to share into the Crafting with Lisa Horton Group if you have a go at this project because we would love to see your take on it.

HAPPY DAYS!

Good Tuesday morning to you all.

Wow!  What an awesome response Lisa had to her fabulous new Box Kit No 4 yesterday on Create and Craft!

On behalf of Lisa and Danny, I'd like to say thank you so much to everyone who purchased from the show.  I just know you are going to love love love your new goodies.

Yesterday I did a Facebook Live in our group, Crafting with Lisa Horton using elements from that Box Kit, one Christmas and one non-Christmas, such is the versatility of this latest Kit.

If you couldn't make it to the live, you can find it here on our You Tube channel if you would like to watch.

This is an edited version so it removes all the live chat that goes on, so you just get to see the cards being made.

Today Claire has done a live and once that has been uploaded to our You Tube channel I will add a link here for you so that you can view if you missed it.

Unfortunately, the live that Claire did from last week encountered too many problems for it to be uploaded, which is such a shame because she made four cards which would be suitable for the guys in your life.

Claire has an album on the Crafting with Lisa Horton group where she adds all the cards that she has made and you can view that by clicking here.

In fact, there are quite a few albums in the group, mainly themed to tie in with each release.  This is where the Design Team makes can be found.  They are there for your inspiration so please feel free to use them as such to give you  ideas on which to base your next project.

Remember, the group is all about sharing the love of Lisa Horton Crafts and we all love to see your makes.  But, your card must feature, in the main, Lisa Horton Crafts products.

We also have a new challenge up for the next couple of months, and this time the theme is "CLEAN & SIMPLE - A LISA STYLE CARD"

You can enter as many times as you like but you can only use Lisa Horton Crafts products.  Here is a link to the album.  Why not give it a go?  I can promise you that the prize Lisa gives is WELL worth winning.

We have things going on in the Crafting with Lisa Horton Group all the time but the one day (weekday that is) that we don't is Wednesday.

So, from tomorrow here on the blog we will have a step by step project for you.  It will only appear here on the blog so it's a little something extra for you.

What better reason could you have for coming back tomorrow?

See you then.

SUPER SATURDAY

A very good Saturday afternoon to you all.

I hope that the sun is shining where you are and you are all having a fabulous weekend?

Did you catch Lisa's live last night?  I do hope so.

Lisa is a very naughty girl at times - she can't keep a secret to save her life! Lol

So if you missed the live - it might just be worth going and having a catch up - who knows what she may have told people! 😉😉

There were also some awesome Design Team makes shown using the fabulous new Box Kit number 4.

I know I am a member of the Design Team but honestly, there are times when I don't feel worthy! Lol  We really do have some very talented clever ladies don't we?

Here are just a few photos of samples ready for Monday's shows.

These are but a few - if you would like to see a larger variety then pop over to the Crafting with Lisa Horton facebook page and look in the Box Kit Album.  Just click the link here to view.  There are also samples in that album for the four die sets that are also on Lisa's shows.

Now I do know that stock has been loaded since yesterday morning and many many people have already been buying.  So, if you really really want to purchase either the box kit, the box kit plus exclusives, any of the four die sets or even the Mega Bundle, then I'd be quick.  Lisa's box kits are always popular and I don't see this one being any different.  In fact, if anything, I think it will sell out way quicker than her previous ones.
Please please please remember - if you order the Box Kit at £14.99 that is exactly what you will get.  There will not be any exclusive embossing folders in with it.

The Box Kit WITH the exclusive Embossing Folders is £34.97 if you are a club member.  The Exclusive embossing folders will never be available to purchase as a single item - ever!

So, schedule for next week as it stands:
Monday 8th August -
Lisa on Create and Craft - 7am and 11am

Me (Dawn) - Facebook Live - Crafting with Lisa Horton Group - 1pm

Tuesday 9th August -
Claire Newcombe - Facebook Live - Crafting with Lisa Horton Group - 11am

Thursday - 11th August -
Me - Facebook Live - Crafting with Lisa Horton Group - 10am

Friday - 12th August -
Lisa Horton - Lisa Horton Crafts - Facebook Live & Giveaway - 7pm

Lots to look forward to and I do hope that you can come along and join as many of the lives as possible.  We have quite a giggle sometimes and it is always fun, no stress and a nice way to spend half an hour.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
See you all soon

FABULOUS FRIDAY

Good afternoon everyone.

Well, Friday sure rolls around quickly these days, does it for you?

Honestly, no sooner is it Saturday morning than it is Friday again.  I think it must be an age thing!!

Anyhoo, back to you wonderful people out there in blog land.

I hope this week has treated you well and you are looking forward to a wonderful weekend.

I can tell you that at Lisa Horton Crafts, Friday night always starts our weekend off with a bang.

Lisa will be live tonight on You Tube and her business page, Lisa Horton Crafts.

She has lots to tell you about, so you won't want to miss it.  Tune in a 7pm to be "in the know"

If you pop along to the You Tube channel, which is really the best place to interact, you might like to click on the subscribe button so that you don't miss any of the fabulous videos that the members of the Design Team upload.  There is so much inspiration it is a fabulous place to go if your mojo has packed it's bags and toddled off on a holiday!

Don't forget also, to hit the little notification bell.  This will give you a half hour reminder that Lisa will be live.

We have some fabulous plans for our You Tube channel, things that will only be available to subscribers, so if you have a fear of Missing Out, that's another reason to subscribe.

Lisa will be on Create and Craft on Monday - 7am and 11am bringing to you the new, outstanding, Box Kit Number 4.

I have to say, this is probably the best Box Kit to date and the other three were pretty awesome, so that's really saying something don't you think?

Here are my makes for the new Box Kit.

If you pop over to the Crafting with Lisa Horton group on facebook you will see more fabulous makes from the rest of the Design Team featuring not only items from the Box Kit but also the four new Die Sets which feature on the show too.

Unfortunately, Claire had a few internet issues from her live on Tuesday so we have been unable to publish it as yet.  She hasn't given up though so hopefully we can get it published soon.

Right, I shall love you and leave you for now.
Do drop in on Lisa's live later if you are able - it's going to be awesome.  There are fabulous samples to show and always a brilliant giveaway too.
So, see you there eh?

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

 Good afternoon everyone

I hope that Wednesday finds you all well and happy?

So, what have I got to tell you today then?

Well, Natasja showed us a fabulous card in her "live" last night.

It was a pre-recorded video because she is away on holiday at the moment but it really was a beautiful card using some of my most favourite ink colours.

If you would like to watch please click the link below:

Our lovely Claire also did a Facebook live showing several ways to make more masculine cards.
The link isn't quite available just yet, so I will pop back tomorrow and post that link.

I will be live in the Crafting with Lisa Horton Group tomorrow at 10am if you fancy joining me for half an hour.  I will be using the Beautiful Butterfly Layering Stencils, matching Embossing Folder and Dies.  We shall be looking at colour combinations and different cardstock.

With regards to Lisa's shows on Create and Craft.
As you may (or may not) know, Lisa's Box Kit No 4 is to be released next Monday on Create and Craft at 7am.

Now I can tell you, because I have seen it, it is THE most fabulous Box Kit yet from Lisa Horton Crafts.
It's Christmas but it's not Christmas.
Yes, that's right - if you want to just make Christmas Cards, then you can but it is such a clever kit that if you wanted to make more general cards then you can do that too!
The stock is being shown on the Create and Craft website but it isn't available to purchase yet. (I'll pop back and give you an update as soon as it is available)
But, if you wanted to go and have a sneaky peek at what it includes then you can.

There will be the opportunity to purchase the Magazine Box Kit (pictured above) at £14.99 (cheaper if you are a C&C club member of course) but, and it is a huge BUT - if you could afford to push the boat out a bit and you wanted to buy the Box Kit with the exclusive elements (go have a look on Create and Craft 😉) then I can promise you, it is a purchase you will ADORE.

Remember though, and this is important, if you go and buy the Box Kit in the supermarket it will be just that - The Magazine Box Kit!  You will not get the exclusive elements with it!

Everything on the show will be available to buy singly, so the stand alone box kit, the box kit with exclusive elements and four different dies sets OR there is a Mega Bundle deal if you wanted the lot!
Now I know that not everyone can afford everything - me included - but the mega bundle will save you quite a bit, so you have several options.
Remember, voting is still open for the Crafts Beautiful awards if you haven't voted already. Or if you have voted once, you have the option to vote five times! Just sayin' lol.

On behalf of Lisa and Danny (not forgetting Lily), thank you for firstly nominating Lisa Horton Crafts in so many categories and secondly for voting.
Winners are announced in September I think so we are all keeping everything crossed as you can imagine.

So, I think that's all for now.
I will pop back tomorrow with the link for Claire's live and a few Design Team samples using the new Box Kit and some of the other fabulous products that are on the show.

Bye for now.

Happy Tuesday

 Good morning all

I know the post from yesterday stated that we would post two or three times per week, but for this first week back in the land of Blog, I thought I would pop in every day and just show you one or two things that have been happening at Lisa Horton Crafts.

So yesterday, I did a live in the Crafting with Lisa Horton Facebook Group showing how by adding ink to your embossing folder you can colour your embossed images with very little effort or skill.  It really is a super quick way to achieve a really pleasing result.

Click here if you would like to watch the edited version.

Today there was a live from our lovely Claire Newcombe.  I'll pop back tomorrow with a You Tube link once that has been uploaded.

This evening Natasja Boseker aka bobomadeby will be publishing a pre-recorded video into the group via You Tube and again I will pop back tomorrow with a link for that too.

Lisa's Q&A session last night was simply amazing.  So many wonderful questions ranging from "Where do you get your headbands from?" to "How do the orders work from Create and Craft?"
So if you have ever wanted to know the answers to those and many other questions you can still watch the session by clicking here.

Lisa was on Create and Craft last week launching some fabulous new products which included these three beauties.

They were extremely popular on Create and Craft and I know that there are not that many left.  They are on a really good price too so if you are interested then why not visit Create and Craft and maybe add them to your basket?
They are even on Flexi-Buy so you can spread the cost if you wanted to.
They will also be available on Lisa's website from 3rd August onwards if you would prefer to buy direct. (This is earlier than normal so please let your friends know these products will be available on Lisa's website from tomorrow!)
Here are one or two samples from the Design Team just to give you a wee bit of inspiration.

Aren't they just fabulous and how different do they all look?
If you want to watch the shows they are available on Create and Craft - Catch Up
Here is the link for the first show for you.

So, that's it for now.
Back tomorrow for another little update and those You Tube links I mentioned above.
See you tomorrow.

A Revitalised Blog

 Hi everyone.

Welcome back to the fabulous blog that is Lisa Horton Crafts.

We have decided that in order to reach as many of Lisa's fans as possible we would re-introduce the blog in order to keep you updated with news, events, new product and all relevant information that you may need in order to be "in the know"

Lisa Horton Crafts is going from strength to strength.  In just under three years Lisa's following has grown to almost 10,000 followers on Facebook and 2.5k followers on You Tube.

Times have not been easy, for anyone, over the past three years so for Lisa's business to not only grow, but positively thrive is a testament to Lisa's business acumen and her tenacity for survival.

The product range has grown beyond expectation and her followers all seem to be enjoying the journey with Lisa.

The blog will post two or three times per week.  We will give details of Facebook Lives that the members of the Design Team facilitate within the Crafting with Lisa Horton Facebook Group.  We will give details of Lisa's Friday Night Lives - these have proved to be a particular success not only here in the UK but with the ever growing USA audience.

There will be projects featured here on the blog and links to the Facebook post will be added for ease of navigation.

We will add in a page listing all of Lisa's suppliers both here in the UK and elsewhere in the World which of course will include Create and Craft.  All of Lisa's new product will be exclusive to Create and Craft for a period of 14 days and will be available on Lisa's website and at other stockists thereafter.

Obviously, for those of you who already know Lisa, you will know that you can purchase her product on her own website: www.thatcraftplace.co.uk  as well as at Create and Craft.

So, welcome back to those of you who have been here from the beginning and a warm welcome to those of you who are new to not only Blogger perhaps, but also to Lisa Horton Crafts.

The journey is still young and it will continue to grow and flourish with the support of Lisa Horton Crafts customers and followers.

For our first piece of information, Lisa is holding a fabulous Q&A session tonight at 7pm.  The Live Q&A will stream on the Lisa Horton Crafts Business Page and also on the Lisa Horton Crafts You Tube channel.  So if you fancy finding out a bit more, why not come and join us at 7pm.  Any questions you like - Lisa will endeavour to answer them all.

I'll be back in a couple of days with a few more updates for you.
