MANDALA CARD

Welcome to my blogpost for Lisa Horton Crafts

This time I made a card with the lovely mandala Stencil. Enjoy this tutorial, and at the end of the tutorial I have a video link where you can see it in speed on You Tube how I made this card.

At first I made two of the same cards with the mandala stencil. I used the following distress ink's: Picked raspberry and worn lipstick. I used a blending tool to apply the ink.

So now I have two of almost the same cards.

In the next step I divide one of the cards in 2cm peices.

I take the strips alternately, and place them on the card on the same spot as the background stencil so it matches. And stick them on with foam tape or you coud also use 3d glue.

After that I splattered some dylusions ink over the card and I cut out a bold word from the new bold wordage stamps (aren't they wonderful).

This is what it looks like up close.

And I weaved through a peice of net curtains that I had as a leftover , and I made a little bow with it.

And voila here is the finished card.

I have also a video tutorial below here, so you can see how I made this card.

And below here I have the same card in a different colour.

The lovely butterfy

The lovely butterfly

Today i will show you how i made this card with the lovely butterfly stamp on a gelli plate.

I used the following products from Lisa Horton:

At first i used the distress oxide stamp pad, and coverd the gelli plate with the ink.

Next i rolled over the gelli plate to cover the ink over the whole plate.

Then i used the lovely butterfly from Lisa and stamped it with two other distress oxide paints.

Then i stamped the stamp carefully on the gelli plate. To create an impession of the coloured butterfly on the plate.

The stamp imprint you can put that on a blanc peice of paper.

Then take a white peice of paper and lay that on the gelli plate. Carefully rub it and pull it of the plate. And thats your background with the butterfly.

Next i cut out the stamped image from the butterfly.

Now i took some glue and put some lovely white mermaid tails on the butterfly and let that dry.

In meanwhile stick the background on to a black peice of paper, that should be slightly bigger than the background paper. And that together i put that on a slightly bigger piece of white cardstock.

Then glue the butterfly its body on the body of the butterfly from the background card.

Then stamp the background with the texture stamp to add some depth to the card.

As last decorate the card with some pearls and you can add a sentiment to it. And voila a lovely butterfly card is created.

Mixed Media Book

Mixed media mdf Book

Mdf Book parts from Lisa Horton Crafts
In the loop die from Lisa Horton Crafts
Mermaid tail glitter – Lisa Horton Crafts
Multiple stencils – Lisa Horton Crafts
Sisal – Lisa Horton crafts
Bali paper - Lisa Horton Crafts

Hello how are you today, thanks for visiting the blog.
if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below.

Here is my blog post with my mixed media mdf book. It is so much fun to work with the fabulous goodies of Lisa.

I used the lovely new stencils of Lisa's and on the 3rd of February she will be presenting them on Create and Craft TV, as well as my items are on that show.

Lisa's shows will be aired at 11am and 4pm.

And those lovely mermaid tails they are addicting and they have so much different colours, wowieee I love them.

I used painters tape to bind the book. Tip: leave a bit of a gap so you can open and close the book.

I painted the book with white gesso
and added a scrap of a old book.

Then I used a few stencils of the new
line from Lisa with texture paste which I
mixed up with acrylic paint before I added it.

Also I made a pocket on the inside and
on the front where I put in a tag and a paperclip
I made, all in the same style.

Finally, I bound the book with a ribbon,
and then you can put in books you can make.
See the video how it turned out. And also how I binded the ribbon.

Thanks everyone for visiting the blog with the amazing creations of my fellow design team members.
