Good morning all.
I'm sure many of you will have started to receive your Crocus Fields and Champagne and Roses sets by now and I can't wait to see what you all do with them.
You all know how much I adore Lisa's product but I have to say I think that as time goes on, she just gets better and better. I mean, the Birdhouse and The Boot-iful were adorable but this Champagne and Roses set covers sooooooo many occasions it is definitely going to give you value for money.

If you missed my live on Monday, the edited version is now available to view on our You Tube channel, just click the pic to watch.
I know we say all the time, please subscribe to the channel if you don't already but it really does mean the absolute world if you do. Our You Tube channel grows organically day on day, week on week. When I say it grows organically, what I mean is all our figures are real. Our subscriber figures are made up of real subscribers and our comments are left by real people who watch our videos. We have never, nor would we ever consider buying comments or buying subscribers because at the end of the day we would just be kidding ourselves wouldn't we? So please, if you don't subscribe please consider clicking the subscribe button and then hitting the little bell you will see under a video. That little bell is a reminder to you of when a video goes live on the channel so you don't miss a thing.

Wednesday as you know is project day so I'll hand you over to the lovely Mary for this week's project.
Split card: Dahlia and Roses and Blending Inks 2
You will need:
Ultimate
LHC Dahlia and Roses stencils, die and embossing folder
LHC Blending inks of choice (I used Antique Pink, Rhubarb Jam, Painted Eggshell and Woodland Moss)
LHC Glitter card
LHC Slim line alphabet upper case
LHC A5 Sticker Sentiments
LHC Glue
Scissors
White card
Blending brushes
Die cutting machine
Trimmer
LHC Dewdrops
Step 1: Stencil your dahlia and roses using your inks.
Step 2: Prepare a piece of white card for your letters by swiping the pad directly onto the card. Ensure you leave this to dry completely before die cutting.
Step 3: Cut and emboss your stencilled flowers.
Step 4: Cut the letters for your word of choice in the coloured card from step 2 and also cut them in glittered card. Attach these with the glitter card at the back as a shadow.
Step 5: Be brave and cut your flower piece in half! Also cut two strips of glitter card to your preferred width - I used 1/8 inch. Lay all your pieces on a piece of white card which is 5 1/2 x 7 5/8 inches. Decide on your positioning.
Step 6: Mark at 3 1/8 and 4 5/8 inches along the long side of your white piece of card. Do this on the opposite side too. You may wish to draw line pencil lines across the card. Glue the glitter card strips along these lines and trim off any overhang.
Step 7: Attach your flower halves above and below as shown. Lay out your word in the space and attach. I ensured there was room for a sticker sentiment which said 'birthday' - I cut this from a longer sentiment.
Step 8: Now for your matts and layers. Cut a piece of matching glitter card to 5 5/8 x 7 3/4 inches. Layer this behind your white card layer. Add this to a white card base - just fold an A4 sheet in half and trim the length to 8inches. Your card is finished!
Thank you Mary. I think we will see quite a few cards like this in the group after today.

Finally to our words of wisdom
See you back here on Friday.

Aww lovely blog again Dawn 😘
ReplyDeleteWe have so many people in our wonderful group don’t we and would just be the icing on the cake if every single one of us ticked on that bell and subscribed to LHC. I personally prefer YouTube rather than Facebook live on a Friday as I get a better picture and on a bigger scale as on tv it’s huge lol
Mary that’s such a fabulous card but one flower set I haven’t got myself. I suppose another would do the same job but would be similar to yours if you know what I mean.
Such inspiration do we have from you all on the design team. Your all so talented and we love you for it. Thank you for all you do for us 🥰🥰 yet another true saying from your words of wisdom Dawn.
See you at your live tomorrow 😘
Lots of love
Connie 💜
