Happy Wednesday morning everyone.
How are we all today? All good I hope?
What a fantastic couple of days on Create and Craft. I hope you all managed to grab whatever you wanted, whether that be the New and Exclusive or a fabulous bargain from Craft Extra. What a made 4 hours with Lisa and Leonie eh? They are just so funny together. Craft Extra is such a brilliant idea in my opinion.

So, it being Wednesday time for another Project from our lovely DT.
This week's project is brought to you by the lovely Mary Kelly and it is this gorgeous Fairy Tepee Card. I have only ever made one of these shaped cards before - they aren't as scary as they look honestly.
Let Mary show you.
LHC Star Night slim line Embossing Folder
LHC Merry Christmas Fairy Stamp/Die
LHC Layering Snowflake dies
LHC Festive bold phrases
Card of choice A4 – I have used white, red and white pearlescent
Glue
Colouring pencils/markers/paints
Foam pads
Die cutting machine
Scoreboard
Scissors
Scoring tool
Velcro dot or magnetics for closure
Oval nesting dies or shape of your choice
Guillotine/Trimmer
Ultimate
Black ink for stamping
Step 1:
Cut three 5 inches squares pieces
of card. Score each one point to point – it can be helpful to line it up on a
scoreboard.
Step 2:
Lay two of the squares side by
side as shown- not the position of the scored line. Now lay the three square
over the centre as shown. At glue to the reverse and secure – it can be helpful
to mark the area for gluing with a pencil. Your card should now fold like the
third image.
Step 3:
To mat and layer I used two
layers - a red and then the white embossed layer. Cut two red squares 4 5/8 inches. Cut these in
half from point to point to give 4 triangles. For the smaller triangles cut a
square of red card 1 6/8 inches, cut this in half to form to small
triangles. Add this to one side of your
card.
Step 4:
Once all the layers are dry.
Stand your tepee by wrapping the 1st and 4th triangles
over reach other. Secure with the Velcro dot/magnetic fastening.
Step 5:
To decorate stamp, colour and cut
out your fairy of choice. I mounted mine onto a layered oval – the oval dies
were from my stash. Using foam pads attach the fairy. I also cut some layering
snowflakes in the pearlescent card and layered these before adding to one side
of the card, finishing with a gem. I
added the tree and sentiment to one of the other sides of the tepee.
Remember to share your makes in the Crafting with Lisa Horton Group if you decide to have a go at this card. Obviously you can use whatever decoration you want to, it doesn't have to be a Fairy. Lol
