I hope you all had a fabulous weekend?
What a brilliant live with the lovely Lisa Horton on Friday night wasn't it?
I think it is quite safe to say you are all eager to purchase the new release coming to TV later today. I knew the balloons would be really popular but I think the enthusiasm for the candles and the added Calla Lily set took everyone by surprise.
Mind you, I have to say Lisa has smashed it again hasn't she? I just don't know how she does it. Every time I think I have found my favourite Lisa Horton Crafts product she goes and brings out something even better.
The beauty of the balloons and the candles is their versatility. I mean it isn't very often that a product can be used for quite so many occasions is it? Men's birthdays, women's birthdays, kids birthdays, party invitations, birth announcements, weddings - did you see Maria's fabulous wedding card all in white? How beautiful was that?
It is a fact that you know when the Design Team love a product by the sheer volume and quality of the samples. I think this has been one of the most favourite releases as far as the DT are concerned and boy does it show!!

We have our second Meet the Team feature today and this week we are finding out just a little bit about the lovely Claire Newcombe.
How many jobs did you have before you found your Dream job?
I always wanted to be a microbiologist, but straight from school I went to work in a bank for a couple of years until the labs were recruiting.
I loved the job and was able to study whilst working to get my qualifications.
Chinese or Indian
Chinese
Fish and Chips or Pizza
Fish & chips from the paper (sitting on a wall in a Welsh harbour ideally)
Surf or turf
Surf, a real seafood girl
Dogs or cats
I only have eyes for my little Hazel dog 
Sport or not
Like to watch athletics, Wimbledon and the England football teams.
More recently I watch the CrossFit games, and that fires me up to get to 3 Crossfit gym classes each week too.
Music whilst crafting or not
I love music, and I’m always singing along to something in the car, but generally I retreat into a silent bubble when I craft.
Favourite film genre
Crime thriller, the more twists and turns the better for me to work out what’s going on.
Favourite music genre
Definitely Pop/Dance (the 80’s are my thing!)
What is your MOST favourite LHC product
My gosh, can anyone on the DT answer this… ummmmm I think I might have to say the Textures & Background stamps (and inks 
)
What is your dream for the future
For my family, I want to make sure that my boys are equipped to be independent, happy and able to make the most of their lives.
For myself, it won’t be long until my job as a school run Mum comes to an end …. So when the time comes I want to make sure I live my life to the full- being as fit as I can be, either running a little business or being an integral member of a team.
And ultimately visit Canada, trek through the forests to find bears and a stay in a log cabin with a roaring fire.
Hahaha, think I’ll be a bit busy!

Nice to be home to do some crafting. Definitely excited about the shows today and tomorrow. Also looking forward to Lisas 4 hours on craft extra with Leonie. That’s going to be so much fun. Need to check out any bargains. I have been trying to think of my favourite LHC product. Hmmmm there are so many. I think mine is the Ulitmate and layering stencils. I’m not a good colourist so these have opened up a whole new world of crafting to me. These new releases look fabulous and can’t wait to see what Lisa brings us next. Great blog Dawn. It's so lovely to be introduced to the team members and it was interesting to meet Claire. With her busy life I'm surprised she has time to be a member of Lisa's team. I enjoyed watching Lisa on C&C this afternoon and will try to watch this evening's programme on catch up.
