TUESDAY - AN EXTRA PROJECT

 Afternoon all

Late on parade today, sorry about that.

Busy morning off to top up my fruit stock ready for the grandchildren. Well not really, I eat fruit for my breakfast every day but they do love their fruit so I have bought extra so we don't run out!

Then off for a dental check up - all good news there, for both of us! Woohoo.

Then, well I just don't know where the day has gone to if I'm honest.

Did you manage to catch Claire's live this morning?  A lovely project featuring the gorgeous layering hibiscus dies.  These are one of Lisa's older products but they are so beautiful and really deserve a revisit, so thank you Claire.

I have popped a link below in case you were interested in purchasing.  Best thing is they are currently on sale for £18.99 and for an 11 die set, I think that is pretty good.  (Just click the pic)

I'll come back and pop up a link to our You Tube channel once Claire has uploaded her video.

Don't forget that our lovely colour Queen, Natasja (bobomadeby) will be live tonight at 7pm doing something fabulous with Lisa's gorgeous stencils.

Now I know that Danny added a link in the group today for Natalia's Exploding Box card but for those of you who still need it, I have added it here too.

CHRISTMAS EXPLODING BOX

·        Box Kit

·        White card

·        Lisa Horton Crafts Nested Triangles

·        White ribbon

·        Lisa Horton Crafts Dew Drops Clear

·        Punch hole

·        Scoring Board

1.     Cut a square measuring 21cm by 21cm from white card. Score all four sides at 7cm on right side of scoring board box base. Cut on two opposite sides only at scored lines to the centre, leaving the other sides uncut. Cut away the four corners diagonally from scored lines to have an octagon shape.

2.     Cut pattern paper for inside 6.5cm by 6.5cm. You will need five pieces of paper. Adhere to the inside centre and four sides. On both sides fold the rectangle shapes to the square to create a pocket. Decorate with pattern papers before gluing them.

3.     Cut out tags with sentiments, adhere to the white card for stability and fussy cut out. Punch holes and adhere a ribbon with bow to the tags. Add the tags to the pockets of the box. Cut out the florals from white card and decorate the top of pockets.

4.     Stamp sentiments, cut out and fussy cut out one of them. Adhere with 3D foam pads to the inside on both opposite sides.

5.     To create a tree. Cut six triangles measuring 5.5cm. Score them in a half long way. Fold and crease. Glue three of them together, do it with another three. Leave them on the side.

6.     Now to create a stand, you will need a strip of card 1cm by 10cm. Score at 2cm, 3.5cm, 6.5cm and 8cm and crease.

7.     Add the glue all over and fold both sides to the centre to create a letter T.

8.     Add the glue to the 2cm side of stand and adhere to the half of the tree. Adhere the other half of tree to the tree with stand.

9.     Add red tape to the bottom of stand and position to the centre inside of box. Die cut florals and glue them to the tree, add some florals to the stand to make the stand less visible. Add little dew drops to the flowers.

10.                        For the lid. Cut 11cm by 11cm square from white card. Score on left side of scoring board box lid at 2cm on all four sides. Cut the corner squares into tabs and make a lid. Decorate with pattern papers. Cut out a tag with sentiment adhere to white card for stability and cut out. Adhere to the top of lid with 3D foam pads. Decorate the tag with die cut florals and dew drops. Add a ribbon bow.

What a fabulous project.  Such a shame it never made it to the magazine.

Still we have it here for our lovely followers to enjoy and it will be here forever too.

Remember to share your project into the group if you have a go, we do love to see your makes.

Right I shall be back with links to both Claire's and Natasja's lives once they are uploaded along with any other juicy bits of gossip I can find. Lol

All, Lisa Horton Crafts related obviously. 😉😉
