Nuts about You !

Hello everyone ..Lisa Robson here ...aka Mess2Magic...with a LOVE themed project all ready for Valentine's tomorrow!! 

I wanted to create something different with some of the greyboard elements to show that they don't have to be used in mixed media type projects ..but are great to use in your cardmaking too...in a more unusual way.

So I have used the Nuts from the Hardware greyboard set ... As pieces in a shaker card

So here is how I made the card .....

You will need ;
Black card
Red card
Heart die or template
Hardware greyboard set from Lisa Horton Crafts
Greyboard hearts from Lisa Horton Crafts
Exclusive flower border stencil from Lisa Horton Crafts ( that was available from Create and Craft
Fundamental Flag die from Lisa Horton Crafts ( coming soon )
Silver gilding wax
Acetate
White gel pen
Red Ribbon
Computer generated sentiment

1. First create a 6x6 card blank from black card .
2  cut another square of black card 5.75" x 5.75". Out of this card cut a heart from the middle either by using a die or template.
3.  Using your flower border stencil and white gel pen draw random hearts all over this piece of card...then attach a piece of acetate to the rear.
4. Cut a piece of red card 5.5" x 5.5"  and adhere to the middle of your base card blank.
5.  Pop out the small and large Nuts from your Hardware greyboard sheet ...then apply silver gilding wax to the nuts.  Once dry polish them with a dry cloth.
6 . Place the nuts onto the base card so that they are all in the middle
7. Attach shaker tape to the rear of the piece of card that has the heart aperture, making sure the tape follows the shape of the heart..leaving no gaps
8.  Then attach this to the base card ...ensuring all the nuts are within the shape of the heart.

9. Glue red card to the top of the greyboard hearts . Cut around the hearts but to  get a neat edge use a nail file and go around .

10. Attach the hearts to your card using glue gel...and decorate with glitter if required.

11. Attach a red bow to the top of your heart .

12. Cut out your computer generated sentiment using one if the fundamental flag dies ( coming soon ) and attach just under the bow.

13.To finish add gems around the edge of the heart.

And there you have your " Nuts about You" shaker card
